Jade Jones is an Actor, Singer/Songwriter and Theatre Performer, and a native to the DMV area. As a child, Jade travelled alongside their mother and aunt, a dynamic gospel duo. Growing up, Jade found their passion performing in their church choir and high school theatre productions. Their musical influences include a wide range of genres and artists such as Billie Holiday, Nat King Cole, Gwen Stefani, Marvin Gaye, Sarah Vaughn, The Notorious B.I.G., Erykah Badu, Lil Wayne, and Elvis. Earlier this year, they appeared in the highly acclaimed production of Disney's Beauty and The Beast at Olney Theatre Center.
Jade has tackled notorious musical theatre roles such as Mrs. Lovett in SWEENEY TODD and Little Red Ridinghood from INTO THE WOODS. In February 2020 Jade was nominated for not one but two Helen Hayes awards for their work: one for INTO THE WOODS at Ford’s Theatre and the other for her portrayal of Nana in Round House Theatre’s production of SCHOOL GIRLS OR; THE AFRICAN MEAN GIRLS PLAY.
